By the support of the advanced theories and technologies of kinds of subjects, including Environmental Science and Engineering, Fluid Machinery and Fluid Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, team of Environmental Engineering and Equipment has achieved substantial research results in the aspects of fundamental research on pollution control and resourceful disposal, advanced treatment technologies for the industrial wastewater, purification of black and odorous water, environmental ecological restoration, and polluted soil remediation. All the researches and corresponding applications are oriented by the practical environmental pollution problems existed in the process of social and economic development. The team has always adhered to the guidance of combining the basic research and the engineering application, combining technical development and equipment’s integration, and combining pollution control and resource utilization.

Head of the team is Professor Wu Chundu, vice president and Ph. D. Supervisor of Jiangsu University. At present, a total of 20 full-time researchers in the team and all of them have doctoral degree. Among them, 8 are Professors, 9 are Associate Professors, 3 are Lecturers. Furthermore, 5 of them are Doctoral Supervisors, and 16 are Master Supervisors. In the last 5 years, the team members have undertaken more than 30 scientific research projects, including more than 5 of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and about 20 other provincial and ministerial projects. The total research fund reach to10 million RMB, which provides strong support for the development of the environmental subject and personnel training of environmental engineering.
