Recently, the team of Professor Zhu Daochen of our school published a review paper entitled "Bacterial membrane transporter systems for aromatic compounds: Regulation, engineering, and biotechnological applications" in Biotechnology Advances (Impact Factor: 14.227), a top international journal in the field of biotechnology. This paper provides a comprehensive and targeted review of the research progress and development trend of the transmembrane transport mechanism of aromatic compounds in microbial cells. The content involves the properties and composition characteristics of aromatic compound transmembrane transport systems, the molecular and structural basis of substrate recognition, translocation mechanisms, functional regulation and biotechnology applications.
