On December 15, Zeng Hongbo, a Academic tenure in the Department of Chemical engineering and Materials Engineering of the University of Alberta, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a national chair professor, and a young academician of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences, was invited to give a lecture entitled "Introduction to Molecular Force and Interface Science and Its Application in the Process of Environment and Chemical engineering". Du Daolin, Dean of School of Environment and Safety engineering, presided over the lecture, which was attended by more than 110 teachers and students from the School of Environment and Safety engineering and School of Chemical Engineering. Academician Zeng explained the concept of molecule and interface force and its detection principle, the development and application of detection instruments, interface science and its application progress in the field of environment and Chemical engineering. At last, he introduced the current domestic and foreign journals in this field. Academician Zeng welcomed the teachers and students of Jiangsu University to actively carry out academic exchanges and cooperation with the University of Alberta. Academician Zeng's lecture received strong praise from the attending teachers and students. After the meeting, Academician Zeng answered the scientific research questions raised by the teachers and students in detail.
